If you haven’t gathered by today’s post title, today is all about beauty. I love Sunday pamper days and here is what I have been using lately.
Brushes
Most sundays are about weekly brush cleans. Now it was time for a make up brush update. After owning a lot of the Real Techniques brushes I knew which ones I wanted to reinvest in, the powder brush and expert face brush. These are most definitely worth the hype; the expert face is perfect for foundation application and the power for applying my Nars Laguna bronzer at the end.
I found the blush brush slightly too big for my cheeks but the new updated ecotools brushes however are the perfect size and super soft.
Make up
A few months back I was on the hunt for a fuller coverage foundation when Lily (whatihearttoday) suggested I tried Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation. Although the colour I got seems a shade too dark for me at the moment, it was perfect for those fake tan nights/sun kissed days. With no SPF meaning it's perfect for nights out and eliminates that 'ghost face' in flash photos.
For Christmas I was lucky enough to get some lovely beauty treats shown above.
As a lip lover I got this rather lavish balm by Suqqu, which has been added to my night routine. I’m always complaining of chapped dry lips so a coating of this at night and when I wake up they’re silky smooth. The perfect prep for my Mac lipstick in the colour Morange.
I have also been trying out the new Eyeko range with Alexa Chung… the perfect combo for day eyes. Although I find the mascara doesn’t give my lashes any more length, it has an amazing dark pigment that gives that full on black colour I’ve been longing for. Similar with the liner, it doesn’t fade or smudge.
3 Cult Favourites
I first tried 01 a year or so ago and after a little twist of fate, 02 landed in my stocking this Christmas. Initially unsure. Come on, nothing beats number 1… but as it settled into my skin it very much grew on me; with its sweet, musky characteristics that I love in a perfume.
It’s Sunday which means time for my Sunday shampoo. Lately my hair is feeling so lifeless.. Mainly due to a much needed haircut.
Since I’ve been loading it with lots of product to give it some va va voom as they say, it was in need of a little detox; After washing with this shampoo my hair feels super clean and fresh.

FINALLY, after what seems like months and doing the rounds on every department store… you.are.mine.
A total convert to the cleansing balms, with much love for Liz Earl it was time to get my mitts on this raved about Clinique balm. I’ve been using it for a week or so now. It’s perfect for melting away the days make up but I do find you need to go over your eye make up with something stronger. Other than that, I will certainly be buying it again, its perfect for my dry skin keeping it soft and non drying.
Finally no beauty overload is complete without a monthly arrival of Birchbox. The January edition is filled with much talked about products, like the benefit POREfessional, I am so excited about trying.
