LOVE CLOTH ON THE ROAD.

As one holiday ended another began. It's been a whirlwind few weeks and I can't believe I've been home a whole week since one of my most exciting trips yet.

On Friday the 11th of July, Simon and I packed up the car in Belfast and headed for the Ferry. A few hours later we arrived in Scotland and made the long descent for Shropshire. Yip I didn't know much about Shropshire either until I met Simon, nestled between Birmingham and Wales, it took us a good 5/6hours to get there from the ferry. You can only imagine how much sweets and coffee were consumed before arriving at our destination around 3am!

After a few hours sleep and rather blurry eyed, Saturday we made our way to Wales and to the most stunning lake I've ever seen. Lake Vyrnwy.
The deeper we got into the Valleys it got quite foggy and drizzly. Lucky I packed my Barbour wax jacket ideal for exploring nature. I'm a little obsessed with the floral detailing which really modernises this iconic jacket.






If you follow my instagram or the hashtag #loveclothontheroad you may have seen I was travelling in style, in the brand new Peugeot 108. *squeals* They trusted me to borrow it for my week road trip which was awesome.
Was it fate that the number plate was 'KT14'!??! I don't know but what I do know, is i'm totally in love with this car and think it should be mine forever!
There's been ALOT of non stop driving so far but what has been great is being able to wirelessly connect my phone and sync up my road trip playlist woohoo! I think simon was going to leave me at the lake if he heard Arctic Monkeys one more time oops!

The old city of Palma is one of the prettiest cities I’ve been to, not unlike Barcelona it’s filled with beautiful historical cathedrals and interesting architecture.
Free people dresses and Birkenstocks seem to go hand 'n' hand these days on my blog. My go to shape? The smock. What I love about Free People is their ability to make a simple smock a little different, whether with embroidery detailing or cutouts. I can't see this particular one on the website but they've plenty similar here and here.

Is it just me but I have a hunch I almost blend into my surroundings in these photos.

That awkward moment when the sun isn’t out on holidays. What?! I packed all my best summer dresses and shorts, flew across the globe (ok, a mere few hours to Spain)… but still, I expect sunshine 24/7!
It’s still warm but not particularly sunny, this is when the jumpsuit comes into play. Lightweight enough to keep you cool and PERFECT for travelling in; then when the sun goes down in the evening it’s a go to holiday look.
This Next jumpsuit has lots of pretty details with a scallop edge and button front. I really wanted a navy jumpsuit for a more relax summer look, rather than black and it is just right for wearing at home too.
Holiday blues have well and truly set in now thats me back from all my adventures and road trip - which will be coming to the blog VERY soon! Hope you enjoyed all the instagrams for a little taster of whats to come.

Hola! It's hard to believe this time last week I was sunning myself in Mallorca. Exploring the Island and generally having a warm ol'time.

I can't complain, as tonight I write this from an equally warm hotel in Paris and what an amazing road trip we're having.

I'm a bit obsessed with shorts this summer, bermuda styles and culottes, you name it. These Navy Miss Selfridge bermuda shorts are now on sale, also for a tinnie tiny £10. wow! Best hurry quick!
Speaking of tinnie tiny, this cute little cross body bag from Next is perfect for holidays. I mostly carry my camera bag separately, so it's nice to not have a matching huge bag alongside it. This little number has so many compartments its hard to keep up, but fits my euros and phone perfectly. What more do you need?

Any tips for our last day in Paris tomorrow, I would love to hear them?

HEADING FOR THE HILLS.

During our holidays we rented a car and headed for the hills. A scary drive I must add around the tiniest little roads on the edge of the mountains. Once at the top the views were beautiful.
We found the village of Deia, which has a bohemian vibe that stems from attracting artists, musicians and writers from all over the world. Beautiful traditional Spanish architecture with colorful shutters made for the perfect backdrop. 

Although not really planning on blog photos, hence the no make up – apologies. I couldn’t resist this picturesque village.

Wearing my floral Cath Kidston shorts which I’ve been meaning to post for ages, my go to Urban Outfitters shirt over a NEXT bikini and of course the comfiest exploring sandals from Clarks.

LOVE CLOTH ON THE ROAD.

Three days back from holidays and I am setting off again, as I mentioned in my previous post. It’s a jam-packed road trip in the coolest ride ever. The new Peugeot 108. Its an amazing city car and even better it can be personalised in 7 different themes.

Starting in Belfast we take the ferry to Scotland and from there we drive to Shropshire. We’re going to take a day trip to Wales and then on Monday head to London.

Tuesday might just be my favourite day – as this day we go to PARIS!!! I’ve never been but I’m sure it will live up to the hype. Please hit me up with some things to do and places to go.

Friday we arrive back in London and the weekend is our oyster …aka – we haven’t planned it yet but it may involve, Brighton, Manchester or even something more adventurous.

So what shall I be taking with me? The most important thing is all my cameras, of course my DSLR is top of the list but I love how handy and compact my Pentax is and the fun element of my Polaroid.

Beauty bits are simple, keeping it minimal with Nars Bronzer and Bobbie Brown Blusher. When travelling I can’t live without this handy sized 8 Hour Cream.


Feeling rather Parisian already, I’ve packed my new Hobbs shirt with its pretty peterpan collar (LOVE) and my Urban Outfitters culottes. OOoooo oui oui.

A POSTCARD FROM HOLIDAYS.

I feel like it has been forever since I blogged last, it probably has. Apologies.

I arrived back from holidays yesterday and today I sit on route to London for some more exciting projects and in fact, a really fun jam-packed week ahead – to include Paris YIPEE! If you have any recommendations for what to do in the city of love please leave me a comment.

Last week I was in Mallorca, if you’ve been following my instagram you’ll be up to date with outfits, locations and selfies.
The holiday was filled with birthday celebrations (my dad and myself), taking an adventure around the Island by car but mainly relaxing on the beach.

One piece of exciting news I received on my last day was that I have been shortlisted for the Cosmopolitan Blog awards… ‘Best Established Fashion Blog’ and ‘Best Social Media’ … thank you so much to everyone who nominated Love Cloth and an EVEN bigger thank you if you have voted already. Ok I’m going off topic. Back to holidays and this amazing palm tree shirt from Reiss, nothing screams summer like a palm tree print especially when it looks as sophisticated as this. Teamed with Bermuda shorts for a more tailored look or get the matching palm print trousers for a dreamy co-ord look. *sighs*
