"We are all just a bob away from brilliance!" - George

It’s been a couple of months now, just about time to go back and get all tidied up, so it’s got me thinking. 

To bob or not to bob. 

There's no arguing that a long bob is the hairstyle of the moment but it’s a big decision whether to keep your locks long or chop them all off – one I’ve been questioning for quite some time.

Long hair was definitely my comfort blanket but after years of the long I definitely wanted a change. This isn’t to say I won’t probably go back there eventually.

Time for the chop.

Salon of choice: George Northwood. (If it’s good enough for Alexa, it’s good enough for me.)

Stylist: Fer

Situated close to Oxford circus the George Northwood salon is a little piece of tranquil heaven, filled with lots of instagram worthy corners.

Fer was my hair stylist for the evening and within a few minutes he had me confident and ready to bob. 

If that wasn’t enough (which it was) they also have ‘The bob bar' of wigs and plenty of pinspiration.

I wanted something that was a nice transition from long to short, so the long bob was perfect. I think they call it #bob2.

From previous experience I honestly thought I would cry when it was gone – totally dramatic I know but I really love my new hair. So big thank you to Fer and the salon.

DREAMLAND.

As I write this post it’s currently pouring with rain outside my window, a stark contrast from when these photographs were taken. 

Oh Margate, your beautiful blue skies and colourful ways have me missing summer already. A weekend or two ago Lucy, Kristabel and myself headed for the shores and shops of Margate after whisperings about it being the new ‘it’ place to go. Thanks Betty magazine - those girls weren’t wrong.

Filled with beautiful shops like Etcetera, a tasty diner called Roost & the most photogenic funfair I've ever seen Dreamland. A trip to Margate is a must for anyone who loves a good ol’ instagram moment.

As mentioned it was pretty darn sunny, hence my eyes being closed in most photos oops. I wore some culottes from Urban Outfitters along with this cute denim top from Zara – Wa la, perfectly nautical for the beach. Which I was pleasantly surprised was gloriously sand rather than pebbles.

Being new to England it's great getting the opportunity to explore new places. Please share any other places which you think I should visit & hopefully another sunny day will happen.

ADIDAS - PASTEL ROSE.

Sunday. A about organising, running errands and generally getting my life together before the week ahead. I’ve also been photographing LOADS of clothes, which hopefully I can get edited and onto Ebay next weekend. Anyone interested?
No better attire than head to toe Adidas for busy days and channeling your inner sporty spice. I love this Pastel Rose collection, there’s something super girlie about it whilst still being a bit 90’s sport.
These photos were taken last Sunday after getting my hair curled at Duck and Dry on the Kings road, I don’t think my hair has ever been so bouncy. They do everything from braids to blow drys, I definitely want to try one of their up do's next time. Pretty glam for a day doing chores don't you think.

HOME SWEET HOME.

We’ve been living in London for a year now and finally have our little home looking ship shape (well almost).

House hunting is one of the biggest chores known to man; we looked at many a crime scene before finding this.

The living room is probably the most complete, as far as rentals go. So I thought I would show you some of my favourtie bits.

Ikea

My mirror and floating shelf  are both from Ikea, probably the best place for homeware on a budget or if your fancy a mini cactus. We have more little plants than there are people currently living in the flat. The floating shelf is perfect for my prints or displaying pretty little things and the mirror is HUGE, perfect for that #OOTD.

Habitat

Perfect for contemporary, scandi-esque style pieces. We picked up our console table and storage trunks. Which are probably my favourite things in the room (after my sofa) I have just spied them in silver - a bedroom treat perhaps.

Loaf

Which leads me on to our sofa. Which is like sitting on a giant cloud. I only discovered Loaf after moving to London and visiting their showroom in hunt for the perfect sofa. I was sold. I want EVERYTHING. As we’re still paying off the sofa, the rest will have to wait. Next on the hit list is this

M&S

If you haven’t walked past the home section in M&S and wish you could just live there then, you’ve not walked past the M&S home section.

Perfect for those finishing touches, like our throws,pillows & a crazy stag head. Why not.

IT'S STILL SUMMER. I THINK.

One minute it’s sunny and 30 degrees, the next the heavens open and it downpours. Dressing for the UK summer is pretty unpredictable to say the least. I’m always on the hunt for that extra layer, as you know I’m a big fan of jackets.

I actually don’t mind having bare legs if it gets colder as long as I have a jacket and I think that’s were this Zara jacket really works. It's lightweight enough to wear during the day but adds that extra layer when the evenings get a little chiller. 

Then, finding shoes that work for sunny days and prevent chilly toes mean you’re on to a winner, like these UGG moccasins. I’m a bit obsessed with this chestnut colour paired with denim and 
whites for summer, it’s always a #OOTD fail-safe.
Finally, pop on a hat that will protect you from the rays and shade you from the showers.

Hopefully when i'm going to Barcelona I won't have this problem. Flip flops at the ready!

A few weeks back myself and Simon headed up north to Manchester to celebrate the wedding of Ciaran and Victoria.
Weddings are the perfect opportunity to wear your prettiest of dresses and it doesn’t get much prettier than this Cherry Blossom Maxi from Free People. Flowery, lacey & backless. It has all the makings of the quintessential wedding guest look. Can I wear it every day please?

Free People recently opened a pop up shop on the King's Road (I may have popped by already!) filled with dreamy dresses and wanderlust, it's not for the faint hearted. You'll want the lot!
