TIME TO END THAT SUMMER ROMANCE.

THE SMALL CLOUD BAG

Cambridge Satchel Bag

I promise when these photographs were taken, having your legs out wasn’t totally insane, It was warmer, honest! Now i’ll just add tights and a coat (although I do try and rock the bare legs thing for as long as possible!)
Wearing an Autumn wardrobe classic, the roll neck, with a pastel mini skirt and flats for an Audrey Hepburn-inspired look all from Topshop
I’ve had my eyes on the Cloud Bag from The Cambridge Satchel Company for a while now and in Ember Orange, it really popped against the pale blue skirt. It’s the perfect size to take you from the office to the bar, which is exactly what I was looking for.

You may even have spotted a new addition in this gorgeous port colour – perfect for winter & I love the personalised touch with the embossing.

A SUNDAY WELL SPENT.

Cambridge Satchel

Topshop dress

Topshop dress

Sunday is all about exploring; whether it’s finding a hidden rooftop garden, like this or finding somewhere nice to go for lunch. This Topshop dress is perfect Sunday attire. Great with bare legs & chunky knits now and with tights and boots when it gets really chilly.

Red is one of my favourite colours. I don’t know about you, but I’m always searching for the perfect shade. This Cambridge Satchel Push Lock bag in Berry Red is the one; perfect autumnal red. If you can find me the matching lipstick - let me know.

I’ve really been trying to use smaller bags lately & only take what I need. This perfectly fits my cards, keys and phone - Keeping me lightweight for Sundays spent out and about.

On that note, i'm off out to grab a Sunday lunch, what are you getting up to?

CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL COMPANY X TOPSHOP

Cambridge satchel Backpack

Topshop OOTD

Topshop style

A few weeks back I met up with The Cambridge Satchel Company to celebrate the launch of their bags arrival in Topshop Oxford Circus.
I have always been a huge fan of the bags after spying idol Miss Chung sporting her very own mini satchel. if it's good enough for Alexa and Taylor - well that says it all.
Now you can shop Topshop and then accessories with your favourite CSC bags too.
Which is exactly what I did.

Over the next few posts I’ll share my new autumn outfits and some amazing Cambridge Satchel bags.

First up...“Is shopping a sport?”

For a Saturday shopping trip, comfort needs to be the priority. The Portrait Backpack is the perfect size to carry everything I need, plus it keeps my hands free for doing some serious shopping & instagraming.

I paired it with this little denim zip-up dress from Topshop because you know I don't have enough denim in my wardrobe and a checked fleece jacket, I love how it's quite masculine/llumberjack-esque.

Watch this space for more looks and bags this week :)

SWEATER WEATHER.

LEATHER A-LINE MINI SKIRT

Reiss mini box bag

CABLE-STITCH JUMPER

You know when you get an outfit and you just wish you could dress like this everyday. That’s this outfit.
For once I almost feel slightly put-together but then, I don’t expect anything less from Reiss. It’s always my go to for bigger moments, like the cosmo blog awards or London fashion week.
I love “smart casual” and for me that’s what this look embodies.
Wearing something in a rich fabric like leather but mixing it with an oversized cable knit sweater.
The icing on the cake, the mini box bag - Matching perfectly with my Monica Vinader bracelet.

If you haven’t yet, take a venture to the Reiss website. The Pacy aviator jacket is next on my wishlist. Is it too early to write that letter to santa?

Big thanks to Joe Galvin for taking these blog photos. Feeling my need for a Mark iii STAT!

EDINBURGH GUIDE.

Hardies Mill Edinburgh

Hardies Mill

Hardies Mill Edinburgh
Farm life.
Our trip to Edinburgh wasn’t just about filling our faces, it was also learning about where our meat comes from & how to identify different types of cut and tastes with a trip to Hardiesmill farm.
I was super surprised to find out, meat may be advertised as Aberdeen Angus beef in the supermarket but be sure to check the back of the packet - you may find out it's not always the case.
The best thing to do is always buy the best quality (like Scotch Beef ahem) Interestingly, the best meat comes from a happy animal and after speaking with the lovely farmers at Hardiesmill the whole process is a skill.

Edinburgh Food

The city.
Filled with independents down quaint little streets, Edinburgh is a treasure trove of amazing places.

Of course I deleted all my photos (good one) before being able to share them with you but a few highlights most definitely consisted of salted caramel ice-cream from Mary’s Milk Bar and an amazing indie shop Hannah Zakari - not for the faint notebook hearted.
We stayed in the lovely Malmaison Hotel which was perfectly located right beside a picturesque waterfront.

Timberyard Edinburgh

Scran and Scallie

Food.
Timberyard
Ingredients supplied by small, local, artisan growers, breeders, producers, suppliers & foragers. The Timberyard was a feast for the eyes and the belly. We dined in the shed but don’t be fooled by the name, this was a beautiful private room, just next to an amazing growing patch filled with herbs & edible flowers. If you're ever in the area - it’s a must.

Scran and Scallie
From the team behind popular multi award-winning Michelin star restaurants, Scran and Scallie is no exception. I ordered the steak pie (it was a beef trip after all) and I must say, it’s the best I’ve ever had – sorry mum.

Edinburgh’s New Town Cookery School
Another part of the trip was heading to cookery school and learning how to de-bone a lamb shoulder. Our lesson in butchery was with Stewart McClymont, who did it so quickly and gracefully we were all in awe. Unfortunately mine didn’t quite look the same- think I’ll stick to my day job.
