CYBER WEEKEND WISHLIST.

This weekend I’m back home in Northern Ireland. As I type I’m relaxing by the fire, shopping online from the comfort of our living room. Who says the cyber weekend needs to be chaos.

There are a few things I want to buy this weekend, the biggest being my new canon camera. Lots of stores have discounts, so like a predator I’m hunting the cheapest, biggest saving. I'll keep you posted on twitter of all my purchases.

For now I thought I would share some wishlists I've been collecting over the months and hoping to treat myself to something too.
For a list of all Black Friday codes. Head to the bottom too. Happy shopping.

ULTIMATE STYLE.

Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless

MINI LILY ROSE PETAL SMALL CLASSIC GRAIN

Topshop jeans

Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless
Jumper - Free people. Jeans - Topshop. Coat - Next. Bag - Mulberry.

It’s what’s underneath that counts.

I don’t know about you, but I do love a good bit of underwear shopping.
Something I don’t usually consider wearing is a strapless bra for everyday, why would I? They always have a tendency to fall down.
This is when the new and improved Wonderbra comes into play. I thought I would take it on a little test drive, wearing a completely casual outfit on a day I would never dream of the hassle from previous strapless bras.
I have a wardrobe filled with oversized knitwear and have always admired that effortless dressing vibe of sweaters off the shoulder – ever since Kelly rocked it in Saved By the Bell.

So dressed down in this amazing soft Free People jumper, for a day exploring London, bare shoulders at the ready, I popped on the new Ultimate strapless Wonderbra and not once did I have to worry about it falling down. AMAZING!
Thanks to newly developed silicone dots provide improved breathability and support across the band.

Going from strapless bras are only for special occasions, to strapless bras are for every occasion. I will definitely be wearing this a lot.

ALL DAYS SHOULD START WITH DENIM.

OOTD

Topshop denim dress

If in doubt. Denim. The only thing in my wardrobe that doesn’t change with the seasons, just keep layering it up with long sleeves, tights, jumpers, coats and boots as the weather gets colder. Expect to see less and less of this Topshop dress on my blog … merly because it will be hidden under all the layers of course.

Denim dresses were made for this time of year. Throw on dresses I like to call them; somehow they have this magical way of making you feel more put together… well for me anyway.
A little dressier than a pair of jeans but still keeping it casual.

Worn with my new Clarks of the season – these amazing silver brogues.  You might recognise in tan from this time last year. Hey, when you find something good…best get it in a few variations, am I right?

The White Company

Eight Hour Studio

The weekend for me is about big lie-ins and lounging around the house, so time to get yourself comfy, pour a cup of tea and settle down to read some blog posts.
I’ve always had a slight obsession with The White Company, something I get from my Mum, grey & white EVERYTHING has always been our kind of style. Since we have nearly finished the living room, it was time to move on to the bedroom. Although it has a long way to go, our bedroom is finally getting there thanks to all the lovely finishes soft cottons and wool mix.

THE WHITE COMPANY

The White Company - room spray

The White Company - PIN BOARD

Sleeping is definitely one of my favourite past times, I love to have a nice calm and relaxing bedroom filled with candles and cushions.
In a dream world I would try to be tucked up in bed before 11, relaxing and listening to some music or reading a book (more than likely scrolling through Instagram). Then after a few attempts and no help from the snooze button, get up around 7am hoping to get my full 8 hours of beauty sleep.
I can normally draw attention away from crazy morning hair wearing these lovely pyjamas by Eight Hour studio – almost too good to sleep in don't you think? M
ade with gorgeous organic cotton, hand block printing and all fair trade. Coming up to Christmas these would make a nice bedtime treat for anyone who loves sleep as much as I do.

Hope you've had a lovely relaxing weekend too.

BARCELONA GUIDE.

Zara AW15

It seems like a lifetime ago we headed to Barcelona, a long weekend that consisted mainly of lounging by the pool at our amazing hotel Olivia Balmes. Thanks to the guys at Travel Supermarket we headed off to Barcelona in September. The perfect time to visit - not to hot, not too cold.
When we weren’t ordering cocktails and room service we were mostly eating so here’s a little round up of places we visited.
Barcelona is the perfect place to visit whatever the time of year and honestly I prefer when it's not so hot to properly explore the city.

Food

Can Cisa - Bar Brutal
Great little tapas restaurant/bar, Brutal-Can Cisa might not be the most obvious option but this little gem has some of the nicest tapas – it's all about the meats and bread. Near the Picasso museum this is perfect for early dinner or tapas with drinks.

Mont Bar

A relatively new place in Barcelona & very popular. Situated not far from our hotel is a small authentic restaurant serving the most elaborated tapas I’ve ever had in Barcelona.

Boca Grande
Not a tapas restaurant (for once) but an amazing atmosphere (if not verging on slightly pretentious) and wow - the interior design. Even if you don't need to use it, check out the toilets, any loos that have a photo booth make it a winner in my eyes. They have 3 floors, downstairs is the restaurant, upstairs is an amazing looking bar and the top floor is a small roof terrace with another bar.

Cup & Cap Barcelona

Cup & Cap Barcelona

Eyescream & Friends Barcelona

Eyescream Barcelona

Travel and Cupcakes
The perfect place to start the day with a delicious breakfast - so good we went twice.
Quite modern and dare I say hipster, unlike many cafe/restaurants I have seen in Barcelona.

Eyescream and Friends
If you’re in the mood for ice-cream and fun there's no better place (or more Instagram worthy) than this little gem, situated near the port, a stones throw from the beach. Pick your flavour & toppings and soon you'll have a new little friend...well, until she melts.

Olivia Blames Barcelona

Olivia Balmes Hotel

STAY

Olivia Balmes.
We deliberated a lot over hotels before picking Olivia Balmes, having visited Barcelona a handful of times before we wanted to go slightly more luxury and this was just the ticket without being super expensive.

Beautiful, clean, modern rooms and a short distances from Barcelona’s Passeig de Gracia, in the elegant Eixample neighborhood. Which in other words means, close to lots of shops and restaurants and super easy to get to from the airport.
The roof top pool was definitely the icing on the cake, especially with a mojito in hand.

TRAVEL MAKE UP

OLIVIA BALMES

To do's - Believe the hype

  1. Not talked about enough -Take the cable car up the mountain and head to the Castle Montjuic.
  2. Visit Sagrada Família it really is a tourist must.
  3. Hire bikes - the best way to see the city & for someone who can be quite a nervous cyclist, the bike paths are really great.
  4. Take the bus tour - we got the two-day pass that allowed us one day to take the red route and the other for blue. Getting to see literally every tourist destination in a hop off and on way. Spending as much or as little time as you like in your favourite places.
