LFW 2016

London fashion week was came and went last weekend and in true Kim style, I picked the wet and windy day to venture into the mayhem of Brewer Street and beyond.

Denim has been a running theme throughout my blog lately and so may it continue. After my last last few posts (and more to come I’m afraid) I’m beginning to feel more ‘Love Denim' than 'Love Cloth.'

ASOS was the denim of the day, after discovering the new styles, I wasn’t disappointed. ASOS The Farleigh Slim Mom Jeans are soft & comfy plus they held their shape all day.

This time I left the Stan Smiths at home and focused on something a little dressier. It’s been a fashion debate for me for a while now; the glove shoe, are they ugly? I can’t decide but these Celine copies caught my eye and I through caution to the wind.

Worn with a Bomber Jacket with Floral Embroidery from ASOS. Which made me feel like a total pink lady.

 Plus another micro bag, quite literally - this little gem is from a favourite of mine Brit Stitch. In the new luxe croc texture leather.

Markus Lupfer

Saturday was filled with catch-ups at the apartment, photos with Amber and of course shows.
Held at One Horse Guards, Markus Lupfer was an intimate presentation with some amazing pieces. I love how he reinvents everyday basics like plain knitwear pieces with print & embroidery. Just check out those sunglasses!

FLORAL STREET.

A few weeks back I collaborated with the lovely brand Radley, which involved styling up the new Floral Street bag.

The day in numbers, kind of looked something like:

5 bloggers

100 years of Vogue exhibition.

3 bottles of prosecco

1000 courgette chips consumed (number perhaps exaggerated)

1 cute as hell Radley bag.

2016 has seen my obsession for mini bags grow rapidly. After moving to London the need for carrying less is just as important as picking the fastest route on city mapper.

Don’t be fooled by this bags tiny exterior, I can fit in my phone, a portable charger, a small wallet, my oyster, keys & lipstick. Lauren even used it as her Olympus pen camera case.

Plus It features a detachable cross body strap and a belt loop, so it can be worn across the body, as a clutch or even as a bumbag… Yes, bumbag!

VOGUE 100

To kick things off, we were invited to the National Portrait Gallery for a special preview of the 100 years of Vogue exhibition, which was amazing! It’s safe to say Kate Moss and Vogue go hand in hand. A bit of a bloggers paradise, if your visiting London it's a must see for anyone who loves, photography, fashion, vogue.. the list could go on a while.

IVY BAR & GRILL - COVENT GARDEN

Followed by lunch at the Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden. The food was lovely, especially the Crispy courgette fries with lemon, chilli and mint yoghurt, which were put on the table as a snack while we took some photos. I think I may have inhaled a whole bowl. Sorry about that ladies.

RIP SKINNY JEANS.

I never thought I would see the day when skinny jeans wouldn't be in my life. Ok, maybe not that dramatic but I’m finding myself reaching more and more for looser fitting denim.

After spotting these in a magazine a few weeks back I finally traced them back to whom else, but Levi’s.The daddy of denim.

Women’s 501 CT jeans are an updated version of the orginal 501’s with a slim, tapered leg. Designed after being the most requested alteration in Levi’s tailor shops.

London Grind

JANUARY FAVOURITES.

January was all about updating my beauty and make up routine. Trying new pieces whilst stocking up on old favourites.
There are so many new “trends” I almost find it hard to keep up. I hear stripping is the new strobing but I’ve barely got to grips with contouring. 

So on that note, here's what grab my attention and got me reaching for more.

Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tillbury seems to be the ‘IT’ make-up brand of the moment, there’s no hiding from it. After finding myself in the Covent Garden store by mistake “oh we’ll just have a quick peep in” – I end up leaving with a bag of goodies. 'Bitch Please' lipstick and 'Pink Venus' lipliner.
A special blend of waxes means this lipstick is a dream to use and glides over your lips without leaving them feeling dry. Perfect for winter.

An oldie and a newbie. It was time to update my tired brushes and these are the first of many to be updated. My Real Techniques Expert Face Brush is a firm favourite, something I’ve bought time and time again.
New to the collection, a Nars contour brush. I wanted something smaller that my Real Techniques Powder Brush to perhaps attempt contouring and I must say I’ve really enjoying using it and trying to be a lot more accurate with my bronzer and blush.

This month I was lucky enough to test the iconic YSL Touche Éclat Foundation with a new advanced formula.

I really liked two colours, BD 10 for my natural day look & B30 for when I'm a little more tan or going out.
It hasn’t been drying on my skin at all which is great for winter but it also gives a great coverage which definitely can be build-able. I usually apply with my real techniques face brush & buff one pump, which normally covers all I need.

Bonjour Oliver Bonas. I’m totally obsessed with their homewear and check out these little accessories. 'Bonjour Heart Foil Printed Pouch' & 'Hand & Nail Cream.' I’ve been carrying this in my handbag to winterproof my hands during this cold windy weather. FYI - it smells divine.

If you haven’t tried Philip Kingsley hair products I can’t stress enough amazing they are. I can really feel the difference between them and other hair products which normally leave my hair feeling really heavy and sticky where as these really do give my hair more bounce and softness. Sold? You should be.
