Topshop Boutique range is probably my favourite part of Topshop. Nestled away like a hidden gem. Boutique currently has the most perfect capsule wardrobe & I need to get my hands on it all. From Silver skirts, boy jeans, stripes and of course, checks. This dress caught my eye last week in Oxford Circus and I thought It would be perfect for all occasions, dress it up with boots or down with trainers.
Remember when I said I wanted to brighten up my wardrobe? – well, that didn’t last long. One post later and it’s all black. No reflection on my mood, I promise. A quick sprinkle of snow today in London but we've braved the cold front to take a wonder out … Tonight we may even venture to lumiere festival. SO stayed tuned to snapchat for that. (Love Cloth)
Wearing my cosy new Mabrun coat that I got at Christmas with my back Topshop Joni jeans, a cosy cashmere from Boden and these perfect Chelsea boots from next.
Just noticing my how much my hair has grown – what do you think, cut or grow?
January can be a bit of a dull month. It’s that quiet time after Christmas when it’s still winter but we’re starting to see hints of spring hitting the shops. It’s a bit grey outside and really all you fancy doing is wearing your Pj’s indefinitely and having a bit of a duvet day.
Well, that’s me any.
So to combat this lull I’m having in January, I’ve promised myself to force to get out, socialise and brighten up my wardrobe. First thing on the list a super bright rainbow jumper from H&M, perfect for tucking into skirts or worn with my new go-to Topshop mom jeans.
Sorry for my lack of posting recently. I’ve been feeling a bit down about all things blogging lately but with a few projects up my sleeve, I hope to shake off the January blues and get back in the swing of things soon.
2015 was the first year staying in one place, in the same house and the same job. You could say it was the first time we had finally settled down and focused on lots of new things – like our first home, exploring our new city and taking time to travel.
Outfits of 2015.
One change I did make this year to my look and that was going for the big hair chop. I’ve really loved having shorter hair and think it’s here to stay… for now. Looking back on my favourite outfits of 2015 – it seems bare legs and knitwear was the order of the day, of course with a heavy sprinklying of denim.
Fashion resolutions.
To buy less throwaway pieces and invest.
Be brave & experiment more with clothes.
Home.
2015 finally saw our first home really take shape. We bought big pieces of furniture which made me feel like a grown up and instead of buying loads of clothes I wanted lamps, bedspreads and things for the kitchen… I officially turned into my mum.
Home resolution. Get DIY – one thing I would like to do in 2016 is get a little more home savvy. Get socialising – have more people to our home for dinner and maybe the odd cocktail.. but first we need some kitchen chairs ;)
Travel. More! Simple. Travelling is one of my favourtie things and this year, I say it every year. I WILL go to America. Watch this space.
Just want to say a BIG thank you for another year and sticking around to see what the little blog gets up to. Something I’m also going to make a point of in 2016 is to comment more on blogs myself and respond more to comments also. I say it all the time but 2016 will definitely be the year of YouTube and a bit of a blog rebrand. Hope you’ll stick around to see all the big things to come & as always let me know what you would like to see too.
Ten days spent back home. It’s been so lovely to switch off from work and all things social, although I’ve still be trying to keep up with instagram and snapchat. New Years Resolution 1: Take time to switch off and also stick to a better blogging schedule. (more resolutions to come) With New Years Eve looming tomorrow I thought I would share another party outfit from Reiss. Perfect for any occasion, better still – EVERYTHING is on sale. The rose-gold Melanie mini dress is woven with a gorgeous metallic yarn, worn with the Astrantia lace up heels crafted from blush-pink suede.
Don’t forget to share your favourtie item from Reiss for a chance to win £500 gift card. Post the image to your Instagram account, tagging @ReissFashion in the caption & photo, including the hashtag #OwnTheNight The winner will be announced on the @ReissFashion Instagram account on Friday 8th January 2016.
The winter plays havoc on my skin; the heating, the cold and the wind all come together to make it go a little crazy. I would usually have quite dry skin and this is only made worse during the colder months. A few things I usually do to combat this is to make sure everything I’m putting onto my face is hydrating and give it a little more TLC.
Elemis is a firm favourite since trying back in 2010. My all time favourite product being the pro collagen cleansing balm. This powerful, Elemis deep cleansing balm dissolves make-up, daily grime and pollutants but without leaving my skin feeling dry. I will always combine this with the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.
Most recently I had the wonderful opportunity to visit The House of Elemis in Mayfair. I received the Couture Touch combination massage.
"Condition your skin and condition your muscles with this all-embracing hands-on experience. Combine any 30 or 60 minute ELEMIS hands-on TOUCH facial with your personalised Freestyle Deep Tissue Massage or Deeper than Deep Hot Stone Massage."
This was good I bought my mum and myself some vouchers for Christmas to go back in the new year. Which leads me on to my first resolution of the year - to look after my skin a lot more.
The final count down is on for Christmas & I’m feeling rather festive, now I’m back home in Northern Ireland. This week I’ll be spending most of my time catching up with friends, visiting family and for the first time in 6 years, Simon will be spending Christmas day in N.I too. Yippee! You can follow the Christmas fun over on snapchat - LoveCloth :)
With the weather feeling more like summer than winter, it only took one slight drop in temperature for the opportunity to wear this amazing parka from Boden on a Sunday walk around primrose hill.
Worn with my favourtie mom jeans from Topshop, Boden Royal knit and a hint of festive glow with this AMAZING Cambridge satchel bag!
