KEEPING IT CASUAL.

Casual

OOTDFrench Connection Jacket

missguided boots
Jacket - French Connection. Dress - Dahlia c/o. Shoes - Missguided.

Happy Easter everyone.

A busy day snapping some blog photos with the lovely Vicki and BBQ’ing the evening away with friends. Unfortunately this has lead me to have less time editing my blog posts. I hope you can forgive me for keeping you in suspense for the remaining Dahlia feature (1 dress 3 ways) which will be up tomorrow. You can check out the first instalment here, were I go full on girl power or should I say Flower Power.

As mentioned in my previous post the ladies at Dahlia challenged me to style this dress 3 ways.
I love the versatility of the dress and I would say this look is definitely how I would style it the most; with a casual bomber jacket and chunky sandals from Missguided.

Keeping it simple with a monochrome look.

I also just spied Dahlia have 20% OFF for 48hours only.. Just use the code: HOPHOP20... I may have also just spied this beautiful lace dress, so I better hop to it ;)

FLOWER POWER.

BELLA FREUD

GIRLIE

bella freud

OOTD
Bella Freud Jumper - C/o Barbour. Dress - C/o Dahlia. Shoes - Dorothy Perkins. Socks - Topshop.

The lovely ladies over at Dahlia set me a little challenge. Style a dress 3 ways.  The full post will be up tomorrow but I couldn’t resist showing this look in full, as it’s perfect for a sunny day such as this. Finally all the flowers are in bloom and it’s just nearly time to get away with bare legs? What do you think?

Ok, back to the subject at hand. This Dahlia dress, although I’ve hidden it with my jumper (oopsy) it’s that type of dress I will wear loads this season, soft jersey cotton with 3quater length sleeves and as the experts of those little details, a stand out green zip up the back. If you can’t wait until tomorrow to see more – check it out here.

So this is my girlie take on the 1 item 3 ways. Teamed with this lovely spring knit from Barbour, which turns my dress into a skirt and jumper combo.
Barbour are continuing their collaboration with Bella Freud this season and this time round it explores cherished memories of quintessentially British summers, cute vintage cars, yummy  strawberries and like my jumper, wild daisies. The perfect girlie combination.

I guess no girlie outfit could be complete without some pink. Loving these pink brogues from Dorothy Perkins, a pretty shade of pastel but in a more chunky masculine style. And of course, little lacey socks from Topshop.

Have a lovely Easter weekend everyone. Filled with sunshine, chocolate and spring flowers in hand

x

I'm sure your all aware of the Company Blog Award nominations floating around the blogosphere, It would be amazing if you could give Love Cloth a vote for 'Best Fashion Blog'.. I will love you all forever ;)

GETTING SUMMER READY.

Holiday planning

A weekend spent catching glimpses of Coachella on my instagram feed and twitter, dreaming I was there. It also got me excited about holiday plans of my own this summer; time for sandals and smock dresses with bare legs. Summer really is my favourite time of year.

In just under 3 weeks I take my first trip to Spain which means time to dust off my swimwear and  top up with some new holiday items.

Travel
So we’re not going anywhere fast without a little travel.
1. This cute Cath Kidston travel bag is perfect for a long weekend or just to hold all those essential travel items, phone, portable charger and travel wallet etc.

2. Of course no travel attire is complete without some chunky sandals. Check out these metallic Missguided beauties. If these don't scream summer holidays no shoes ever will!

3. I don't think my phone ever leaves my hand so of course it's coming with me. I made this iPhone case over on caseable, bright summer colours and preparing everyone with me for plenty of snaps. 'Say Cheese'
If you fancy making one yourself, be sure to use the code: LOVECLOTH for £5 OFF your order :)
Day

1. If I'm heading somewhere hot the first thing I do is get straight into swimwear and head for the sea. I love the beach and can't wait to try out this Triangl bikini. Its made from a 100% Neoprene fabric which makes it feel like a wetsuit and comes with the perfect matching beach bag!

2. Teamed with my Toms Sandals. They still boast their one for one scheme. (With every product you purchase, TOMS will help a person in need.) Such a great idea and now with loads of styles to choose from there’s definitely that perfect summer shoe for everyone.

3. Summer bag essentials. Now that I've got a beach bag at the ready thanks to Triangl, I also like to have a smaller little purse/bag for my money and perhaps my phone. On beach holidays there's just no need for that usual big city bag so this little one form Brit Stitch does the job perfectly.

Night
1. Little Nell jewellery has the perfect summer pedant in the shape of this Silver Amethyst Slice Necklace, it reminds me of a sunset with its tones of pinks and purples.

2. Oh look! its more overly chunky sandals for night wear. Vagabond seems to be a bloggers number one brand this summer for shoes and I couldn’t resist either.

3. Ok so I may have let out a little squeal when this Free People Smock arrived. It is perfect. A lovely heavy fabric covered in gorgeous embroidery detailing. I know I will be wearing this A LOT.
Holidays
There you have it, some pieces I have gathered up since the first glimmers of sun arrived. All ready to be packed up for their first adventure of summer and hopefully not their last.

Have you any holidays planned?

Don't forget the Company blog award nominations have begun, if your over that way please give Love Cloth a vote. Love Cloth for 'Best Fashion Blog' it would mean the world to be nominated :)
