DREAMING OF DENIM.

The spring collections are finally hitting the virtual shelves. New shapes, colours and prints but one thing I can't seem to get enough of – denim!
This strange love affair I have usually see’s me with at least one part of my #OOTD containing said fabric.
Just when I think I couldn’t get any more denim in my wardrobe, Miss Chung launches her AC x AG Jeans and my bank balance, as I know it, is doomed! (NB: Did I tell you the story about this one time I met Alexa Chung?)
On the hunt for some more purse friendly alternatives, I've came across some great denim pieces from places like ASOS, Jack Wills, George and Free People.
The A-Line skirt, denim dress and dungarees are all on my starting list for SS15 denim items. I'll be wearing mine with breton tees, light weight roll necks and tom boy shoes.
Who knows, maybe even the canadian tuxedo will make a come back? ;)

WEEKEND PLANS.

At a loose end this weekend? Visiting London? Here are some of the things I've gotten up to lately. I would love to hear about places you've visited or restaurants you'd recommend. I'm always on the hunt for new places to explore.

lightsofsoho.com

LIGHTS OF SOHO
Nestled away in the heart of Soho. Lights of Soho presents: Gods own Junkyard. A great little place to pop into and explore hidden gems. A gallery and bar presenting the best work from some of the world’s leading artists using the medium of light. Definitely recommend calling in if your spending a day shopping on Oxford Circus etc... This may now have ended, sorry.

somersethouse.org.ukGUY BOURDIN: IMAGE MAKER
For most of my collage days and throughout university I drew a lot of inspiration from Guy Bourdin's work. I loved his photography, the vibrancy and modern appeal of his work. Images that wouldn't feel out of place in todays pages of Vogue.
A perfect venture after a nice walk along the Thames. If your interested in photography/fashion/advertising etc then this is a must!

If your looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of central London. Petersham Nurseries is a great escape. Perfect for an afternoon lunch, a browse of beautiful plants, or shopping antiques.
Right near Richmond park if you fancy walking off all that amazing food and deserts. ha

If you've had enough shopping and exploring for one day, some me time is in order. I finally got around to getting my hair done at the lovely salon Myla and Davis. Visiting their newly opened salon opposite Brixton Market Row which was super pretty and I don't think I've had so much fun at a hairdresser than my experience there, everyone was so lovely.
Wanting a bit of a change especially going into Spring, I went a little bit lighter. I am super pleased with the tones they used as sometimes it can go quite brassy but this was perfect.

Whistles hat
Hat - Whistles. Coat and jumper - Turnover. Trousers and Denim shirt - Topshop. Shoes - Dune

Wrapped up for this chilly January, it’s all about lots of layers. Starting with a T-Shirt, we layer with a denim shirt, to cover with a chunky knit jumper and top with a long coat.
Hat, scarf and gloves optional.

Today was about exploring some surrounding areas, so off I headed to Battersea. Catching up with Kristabel for some blogger chat, snaps and of course our favourite. Burgers.
We ventured to Bens Canteen and even got a free Bloody Mary for instagramming a snap. My food was delicious and their milkshakes would definitely bring the boys to the yard! 5/5 guys!

NEW BEAUTY 2015.

beauty

I always start the new year with some new beauty products which usually come in the shape of gifts at christmas or having used every last drop in the run up to the festive season, January see's a final splash on filling that missing spot in my make up bag.
Laura Mercier
Adamant that 2015 will finally be the year I work out how to do my eye make. I have watched numerous youtube tutorials and I may just have got the hang. One thing I've realised, it's all in good quality eye shadow.
I can get enough of the smokey eye colour palette from Laura Mercier. I
t comes in five complementary shades and the texture of the shadow is so soft and velvety it glides on like a dream, even a novice like me can cope with building and blending (look at me getting that lingo down) The first two light shades are great for during the day but if you fancy ramping it up a notch just add some Black Magic (the shimmery black colour) Now at an amazing price on Urban Retreat!!
Bobbi Brown
Swaying me into eye make up is strategically placing it beside my first love - lipstick. This Bobbi Brown palette is a lot more focused on softer shades and perfect for daytime.
I am so obsessed with the lip colours in here I think some may have to be repurchased. Especially Pink Blossom in the bottom row.
hair
Recently I got my hair coloured and cut in a lovely salon in Brixton - Myla and Davis. They used the most gorgeous Bumble and Bumble products in my hair which left me longing to have the same salon treatment at home. Lucky for me, Santa read my mind and I got these gems for Christmas. Why doesn't every hair product smell this good.
A few of you have been asking what I use to curl my hair, when my hair was a bit longer it was all about the Cloud Nine wand but when it's slightly shorter and i'm in more of a hurry I tend to reach for my GHDs. If a tutorial is something you'd like to see, then tutorial I shall do. Just let me know in the comments.

What beauty products are you loving? I still need to fill a bronzer gap ;)

THROW BACK THURSDAY.

Autumn looks
London November - London October
I thought before we get too far into 2015 it would be nice to reflect back on some of my favourite looks and memories of 2014. A HUGE thank you to everyone who has been lovingly pushed into taking these photo's, I couldn't do it without you. Some more virtual love to everyone who actually reads this blog. I never thought in 2012 that I would even last at it this long! Hopefully lots more exciting projects and ideas for the new year... hey, maybe i'll even get round to that Youtube channel before 2016.

I would love to hear what have been your favourite posts and what you would like to see next? Again a big thank you for everything in 2014 and Happy New Year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Yep, I’m still alive. Between flying home for Christmas (busy busy) and then getting super ill (sniff sniff) I haven’t had a moment to even blog these photos I shot pre the festive season.
Espically being one of my go to looks lately, I am OBESSED with this amazingly bright red jumper from Boden. Although I may look like Velma from Scooby Doo some days, it has been my favourite (of many) roll necks this winter.
Slightly over dressed from an impromptu visit to a garden centre, but Petersham Nurseries isn’t just any old muddy place, it’s quite possibly the cutest place I’ve ever went or lunch…yes, lunch!

Who doesn’t go to a garden centre in a Whistles Fedora though? Am I right? Totally sassy.
I stayed cosy in my new coat from a brand called Turnover. Carrying all my necessities in this lovely Forelli backpack from My Bag. Which is perfect for something a little dressier.

Thinking out loud...
On another note, having this time away from my blog has been both good and bad. I stress a lot when I haven't had a chance to blog. 'Will you stop visiting?'  'Will I loose followers?' 'you've probably forgotten about me already' ... So thank you, if you're still here and reading this :)
I've also felt slightly uninspired about what to post next and really want to make big changes.
The good bit is, I really do love blogging so I want to make it work, coming up with new and exciting things.
I'm also hoping to really get organised in 2015. So would love to hear from from you guys, what you would like to see and what days do you think are best for new content?

Have a lovely weekend x
