MERMAIDS ARE REAL.

The weather has been marvelous here in London (until now), the first wave of heat and it was time for my legs to come out of hibernation and face the world.

Getting summer ready means prepping those pins and this months Take Ten challenge saw us teaming up with the experts Braun to try out their Silk-Epil 9.

Slightly nervous about the whole epilation thing, it did take me a few attempts to get going. The best way to describe it is like waxing. I’m hoping with more practice and over time, it will get quicker and easier and definitely save me time and money in the long run.

With the weather getting better I was even more determined to find that perfect A-line denim skirt and after testing the whole high street I’ve finally found the one.

Along with this amazing Pull and Bear tee, my friend Sarah bought it and I couldn’t resist… The mermaids, they get me every time.

Summer Ready look

TAKE 10 X RIVER ISLAND.

Well isn't take ten just knocking them out of the park this month. A few weeks back we had a collaboration with Free People and this week it's all about River Island knitwear.
We're talking cardigans, fluffy crop tops and oversized jumpers. Perfect now the weather has take a dip. Burrrrr. You can also check us out over on ASOS FF for a 'BLOGGER STYLE CHALLENGE'
- TAKE 10 KNITWEAR. 

Time to layer up and for this look I'm wearing my favourite white Equipment shirt under my cosy oversized jumper and I'm sure could be worn as a dress with thick tights.
I've kept my look casual by wearing my ripped Topshop Jamie jeans but feel my smart coat and silver accessories both from Boden dress the whole thing back up.
Obviously like a magpie attracted to shiny things, as I was with my Next shoes, this bag had to be mine, love at first sight. It also has a long strap which is great for using in the day.

Next up for take ten was a collaboration with Free People and first off just want to give a big welcome to Caroline and Amy!
Our theme was party and as you'll see from the other girls posts, there was such a vast selection. From velvet to sequins to lace. What does remain the same is the more boho vibes. Which is more my going out style in preference to a bodycon spandex number.
My Queen of diamonds dress is so darn hard to photograph even on this beautiful sunny winters day.
Hopefully you can see the pretty detailing in the velvet.
It's has lovely buttons on the cuffs and neck, with two key hole openings at the front and back.
It is super short at the front and slightly longer in the back, so I went for extra thick tights.
What winter would be complete without some new boots. These beauties from Ravel, make for a more casual look but perfect for a night on the town and thanks to the chunky heel, no sore feet or stumbles ;)

How was everyone's weekend? We put our Christmas tree up which was super exciting but it also hit me. I have NO presents bought. I have a few ideas which I will share with you guys too. Please leave me any links to your gift ideas as I love to see them for inspiration too.

This weekend my mum came to visit me in my new abode in London. We decided to be tourist for the day, heading off to Hampton Court Palace. What a gorgeous palace and even better the sun was shining which meant a few more days of Ray ban wearing glasses. She kindly took my blog photos and we generally had a ball all weekend, I didn't want her to leave :(

I was very excited about our latest Take 10 challenge. I fell in love with these 'Busby Folly' Clarks shoes as soon as they arrived and they have quickly became my new go to shoe for the autumn transition out of sandals.

Perhaps too warm for my jacket but I couldn't resist taking this new Free People beauty for a test drive. I'm really getting into green and it's a perfect throw on for this in-between kind of weather.

My favourite summer jacket ever comes in the form of this beauty from Free People! FINALLY Take 10 has got organised and we are back with a bang. Welcoming Remi as our newest member which is rather exciting. 
This month Free People chanelleged us to style our favourite jackets from the collection and the ladies didn't disappoint. I love seeing how one brand can suit 10 completely different people and styles.

So like I said, I went for this rather stand out ‘Devils Ally Embroidered Moto Jacket’ that I’ve been wearing ever since. It’s great for cooler summer days and perfect to dress up a simple jeans and T-Shirt combo, that I love to wear most days.

Teamed with a few new accessories, another amazing bag from Pauls Boutique. Totally obsessed with this new look they’ve got going on, check out the other bag here.

Of course some Clarksshoes. Again, do I wear or talk about anything else? These are super comfy and I wouldn’t expect anything else and finally a cute star necklace from Little Nell.

TAKE 10 - CALL IT SPRING

Call it spring seems far from what it felt like the day I took these snaps. More like ‘Call it gales force winds with sub zero temperatures' Ok, slight exaggeration and Call It Spring is actually the name of my new boots and this months Take 10 challenge.

Call it Spring is the sister company of Aldo, with more affordable prices I would say. They currently don't sell online but have lots of stores all over the Uk which I would highly recommend checking out.

Teamed with another leather skirt and a fluffy H&M jumper, my favourite combo of choice. H&M knitwear is really good at the minute, as you will see from up coming posts I've picked up quite a few from there this season. However, be warned if you come near me whilst wearing this jumper you will leave as though you've been holding a cat. (Super fluffy) I'm hoping after a wash it will be just fine.
